Dinner and Drag-Ball meet, in Lyndovnille VT, May 5th, 5:00pm
There will be no furmeet this month, in Brattleboro, Vermont.
:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
It's beacuse of my current work and school situation. i simply cannot afford the gas or time to go anywhere until i get my first monthly check from my outside work - which started yesterday - meanwhile, i am still looking for work.
Now, the next meet will be on Saturday May 5th, in Lyndnoville Vermont (no, i am not crazy) at 5:00pm, at: the The Pizza Man. This is an RSVP-event only, please request attendance in advance, before showing up.
Now, why am i doing this? Well, the reservation part is only beacuse i -will- be allowing people to change in my apartment, and i require beforehand knowledge of anyone who comes into my home. But, why so near to my home?
Beacuse, at 8:00pm, at Lyndon State College, in ASAC 100 (the main room, not the theater) - on campus, is the annual DRAG BALL - oh yeah furries, we are rockin it that way baby. https://www.facebook.com/events/176234762497717/
We will all suit up, or dress up (it matters not which) and go over and have a fun time. there should be alcohol on hand - they usually have a little wet bar there, and i will have or be a DD. I will ALSO NEED PRIOR APPROVAL FOR PEOPLE WISHING TO STAY AT MY APARTMENT who may be too tired or drunk to drive back home, as i only have so much space, and everyone needs to be out by 8am.
Sorry about the cancellation, but that is what my budget allows - plus, how often do we get to suit at a drag ball? :p - ps, the LSC WWLR Drag Ball does not require you to be in drag, male or female - you can come any way you wish.
Dress code: Before the Drag Ball, everyone is disallowed from wearing the following, at the restaurant: Badges, ears, tails, paws or fursuits of any kind. Other furry stuff is okay, like collars, shirts, art stuff, etc - but i live a stone's throw away from the venue, in a conservative-ish town (except for the college crew) - so, please keep this in mind.
PS: there WILL be a furmmet, at a TBA location, in Brattleboro vermont on the 26th of May, at three pm.

Official Ski & Snowboard Annoucement!
X-posted from FA. Original journal link here -> http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/26870
The Ski & Snowboard trip is still gonna go on. I repeat: THE SKI & SNOWBOARD IS STILL GONNA HAPPEN!!! Some information:
What: A ski and snowboard trip in Vermont
Where: Okemo Mountain resort in Ludlow, VT
When: January 14th, 2012 (we will extend the trip to Jan 13 to 15th if we have enough people interested)
How much: Full day is $81, half day is $61 (this rate can be cheaper if we have enough for group rates.)
Link to Okemo's page: http://www.okemo.com/okemowinter/
About Group rates: We need 20 committed people in order to have group rates. We will need to make reservations for that a week before the event, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW A MONTH BEFORE HAND!!!
To everyone that wants to go: post a comment to this journal and I'll put you on the list of people that are going. If we hit the group number (which is 20), I'll contact everyone about buying lift tickets. Otherwise everyone buys tickets on their own. Everyone that is going will have to take care of their own lodging as well.
To people who don't ski or snowboard or people who want to learn and ski and snowboard: sorry, I'm only going to focus on having experienced people going on the trip. In future years I will have events planned for people who just want to come for fun and have lessons set up for people that want to learn.
And to people who won't be able to go that weekend (AKA people going to FC): We will probably have another ski & snowboard weekend sometime during February. If there is enough interest I'll post info about that.
MY GOALS: to be able to have this event go on as painlessly as possible. I would LOVE to have this become a yearly event. It would be totally cool if we can get to the point where we rent out lodging spaces at Okemo.
So we have 7 people ready to go, 13 people needed to be a group. WHO'S GONNA GO?

Original Art Charity Auctions - Ends Tomorrow!
Just a reminder that my Charity Auctions will be ending tomorrow, about 7pm EST. Most are still at their base price of $1 minimum bid.
What I have for sale: all of these pieces are ORIGINALS! And, at one point or another, were featured in art shows at Anthrocon, What the Fur, or local art shows. Most are illustrations, and one of them is an oil painting.
All proceeds of the auctions (except for shipping fees of course) will be donated to the ALS Association
, to help raise money for research to find the cause and cure of this horrible disease, as well as to help people who are currently living with ALS (aka, Lou Gehrig's Disease).
Here's your chance to bid on some original artwork by yours truly, plus the money is going towards a good cause :)
Here's a list of the auctions currently available:

I'm just wondering if anybody in the St. Albans/Swanton area going to the Furmeet in Rutland on the 27th?
If so, I would like a ride to and from the furmeet and I'm willing to help with paying for the gas.

Furmont Ski & Snowboard Trip!
ATTENTION SKIERS AND SNOWBOARDERS!!!
Myself and some of the Vermont furries have discussed about hosting a ski & snowboard trip in Vermont this coming winter season. Mark your calendars for January 13th to 15th for the trip. We will be going to Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, VT. Right now I'm getting a preliminary headcount to see how many are interested in going on the trip. So if you are interested, please comment below answering the following questions:
Are you interested on going on the trip?
Do you ski or snowboard?
How experienced are you (beginner, intermediate, expert)?
Do you need ski or snowboard lessons?
Would you need lodging for the trip?
Which days (Jan 13th-15th) would you be skiing or snowboarding?
What will be your transportation method?
Do you have a fursuit?
Do you have any other preference for a mountain to ski or snowboard on?
and do you have any other comments to make?
I'll post more information (like prices and lodging) once I get an idea on how many people are interested.

July 16th - 17th Camping trip, East Clarendon, VT
July 16th (Saturday)- July 17th (Sunday) Campsite location-->
East Clarendon (town next to Rutland)
I was thinking of also being there on Friday. Please let me know if you would like to meet me there on Friday or Saturday. Rendezvous: 11AM on July 16th
@ Whistlestop Corner Restaurant
#212 Rt. 103, East Clarendon, VT 05759
Their phone #: (802) 747 - 7070
Whistlestop Corner Restaurant is next to a veterinarian and less than 3 minutes from the campsite parking lot.
We will caravan up to the campsites. I suggest some of you carpool because the Appalachian/Long Trail (South) parking lot is small. Campsites Parking Lot:
- Appalachian/ Long Trail (South)
- just before rail road tracks/sign
- there should be a Trail/National Forest sign
- 10 minutes or less from Rutland Campsites info:
- There are up to 9 campsites along a river adjacent Appalachian/Long trail.
- It is a popular location. First come 1st serve basis.
-Each camp site has fire pits. From Parking lot to Campsites:
- takes 5-10 minutes walking to campsites.
- You have to cross a long and narrow bridge. Don't worry the bridge is very safe and strong.
Also, there is a swimming hole on the other side of the river that can be reached by going down a semi goat path. Many go there to swim.
Please note me if you would like to go. ^_^ Current Mood: happy

Also, I found the website for a local Convention up in Colcester, I was talking about at the last meet. It isn't big as AC, but it has a hometown feel to it and it's very colorfull.
If you would like to go, best bet is to pre buy your badge, because they sell like hotcakes on opening day. Current Mood: curious

Early-bird furmeet announcement - burlington, july 30th, 3pm
This is a super-early announcement for the next Vermont furmeet! This time, we shall be going back to the societal and cultural hub of our little state, for better or worse, Burlington! Church street, to be specific. I have been looking around, made some calls, and determined that we should meet at Ken's Pizza and Pub @ three (3:00) PM, Saturday July 30th 2011. We will not leave until at least 4:15, to make sure everyone has arrived, as well as to eat :p ( http://www.churchstmarketplace.com/dine/Mexican/
- the one to the right).
Most likely, we will be wandering around church street marketplace afterwards, with fursuits, preferably (bring water people!!! It;s the middle of summer, it does not get hotter), and later on going to Champlain Lanes. Anyway, this is just an early prompt, the official notification shall come after Anthrocon, once people in the northeast are thinking furmeets again, but yeah. Clear your schedules! :) i want to see you there ^.^

Looking for the fur into Steampunk
I forgot yer name but know you are from the Swanton area. Contact me so that I can bring up the gears, spokets, pulleys, chains, etc to ya. I did find the box after cleaning my place in St. Albans, so since I haven't much if any use at the moment for these, send me an email to my LJ inbox here so I can get these to you.
